The HNC in Business is a major workplace qualification course, delivered over one year full-time or two years part-time, which includes a broad range of highly relevant business and management subject areas, making it ideal for those who have started, or are planning to move into, a career in private of public sector business.
HNC graduates are able to progress onto HND in Business upon successful completion.
Full-time: Day / Evening (1 year).
Part-time: Day / Evening (2 years)
Note: The HNC is awarded on completion of a minimum of 120 credits.
To gain the HNC each module must be successfully completed. Assessment is by a combination of coursework, assignments, projects or an examination. All assessments are externally verified by Pearson.
All units on the BTEC Higher National Diploma (HNC) level courses are worth 15 UK credits. Students will be expected to commit at least 150 notional hours towards completing the learning outcomes per unit. This usually consists of a combination of around 60% direct teaching time and around 40% independent study time (e.g. preparations for research and assessments, background reading, etc.).

International students: Overseas learners must show proficiency in the English language and have an appropriate qualification equivalent to IELTS 5.5 Restrictions on learner entry The BTEC Higher National qualifications are accredited on the RQF for learners aged 18 years and over.
